My Top 15 Kpop Songs (Nov. 30 - Dec. 6)

Ahh my first post! This is super exciting/nerve-wracking. The title is pretty self-explanatory but I'll explain in further detail right now. Every week I'll be posting my top 15 kpop songs of the week. These could be songs released this week, songs I've discovered this week, or even songs I already knew and was digging again this week. Hopefully, this can serve as inspiration or expose some new artists that deserve some love. Enjoy!

15. TWICE (트와이스) - OOH-AHH하게 (Like Ooh Aah)

Such a strong debut from a rookie girl group. I like how they don't follow the "cute" or "sexy" concept, but they're a nice inbetween. Also, MOMO. Enough said.

14. Lovelyz (러블리즈) - Ah-choo

At first, I didn't think much of this song. But it sticks to your brain and you can't get it out. It's too catchy for it's own good! I don't know much about Lovelyz, but this song makes me want to learn more.

13. VIXX (빅스) - Chained Up (사슬)

Watching this is kind of a pain because of the majority of the second verse being whispers, but the studio version is great and the chorus is so strong. I'm also all for suits without a shirt underneath.

12. DΞΔN x ZICO - Pour Up (풀어)

Dean is always making these jams that make you feel a certain way. This is the type of song that plays when you get ready for a night out, knowing you look good, and you run into the guy you've had a crush on for forever and you can see him checking you out. Yeah, it's one of THOSE songs.

11. Starship Planet (스타쉽플래닛) - Softly (사르르)

This song just makes you feel super warm and fuzzy inside, as a Christmas song is supposed to be. Why is everyone in Starship Planet a cutie? I love this song for driving at night or doing homework; it just infects you with the Christmas spirit.

10. LABOUM - Aalow Aalow (아로아로)

Wonder Girls part 2? The 80s vibes are strong in this song. Unlike the sexy, slick concept of "I Feel You", this song/video is if Apink's "Mr. Chu" traveled back to the 80s. It's fresh and colorful and just makes you feel good!

9. f(x) - 4 Walls

Week(s): 1 | Peak: 9

WHAT CAN I SAY? My favorite girl group killed it with this song. It's still a jam and one of the best songs (in my opinion) of 2015. Everyone looks absolutely gorgeous and the live version. THE LIVE VERSION. WOW. No one understands what the hell is going on but it's okay, it's f(x).

8. EXID (이엑스아이디) - HOT PINK (핫핑크)

I LIKE THE WAY YOU PINK IT. Remember when I said "Pour Up" is the song you see when you see the man you've been crushing on? This is the song you play when getting ready for that day. It's fierce, hot, but it's subdued with the pink. Everyone looks fantastic, but Hani and Jonghwa are killing it with the hair, looks, vocals, everything.

7. TaeTiSeo (태티서) - Winter Story (겨울을 닮은 너)

Another Christmas song that really gets you into the mood. I love the lighthearted tone of this song and the acoustic flow. The slower beat allows every word to be clearly heard and the vocals to really shine. TTS fighting!

6. Phantom (팬텀)- Could You Be Mine? (확신을 줘)

The song, the video, it's SO GOOD. There's something about this song that embodies being young and looking for love. Maybe it's all of the colors or the honesty of the lyrics. It's one of those songs you play right after talking to your crush or sharing your feelings. It's just a feel good song.

5. Snuper (스누퍼) - Shall We Dance (쉘 위 댄스)

Another strong debut! I like how Snuper isn't doing the "bad boy" concept like a lot of rookies this year. The "cute" concept is also overdone, but the funky vibes of the beat and intricate dance make up for it. I love everything about this!

4. ZICO (지코) - Boys and Girls (feat. Babylon)

This is such a shoutout to American pop/urban music. It has that trendy beat that all songs are using, but for a reason! The song gives me summer vibes in December. My favorite recent Zico release.

3. SEVENTEEN (세븐틴) & Ailee (에일리) - Q&A

THIS SOOOOONG. IT'S SO CUTE WOW. I love this subgroup even though there is no official title to them. And Ailee? The queen of vocals? Everything about this song oozes cuteness and it just puts me in such a good mood. Please make more music together!!

2. BTS (방탄소년단) - Run

IT'S BTS OF COURSE IT'S GOING TO BE AMAZING. They're one of my bias groups because whatever they release is good, it's a fact! This song is what BTS is great at: a song that's emotional but strong and addicting. I love how it's a continuation of "I Need U" and the video is just as confusing.

1. CL - Hello Bitches

THE QUEEN IS BACK. What can I say, it's my two favorites: Parris and CL. ReQuest/Royal Family always kills it in all of their projects. The could've had better quality lyrics, but I think we can all agree that it's better than "Dr. Pepper". This is CL at her best, and we are all unworthy of her presence.
